In preparation for Hanukkah, we are excited to share a recording of Al Hanissim, composed by Mike Boxer of the Jewish a cappella group Six13 and performed by the Chorus of the H. L. Miller Cantorial School and College of Jewish Music.
The text, added to the Amidah and Birkat Hamazon on Hanukkah, reads, “We thank You for the miracles, the redemption, and the triumphant victories, and liberation which You have wrought for our ancestors in days of old at this season.”
The musical setting is in the style of Jewish a cappella, popular on college campuses.
