An extraordinary conversation with one of America’s most acclaimed and influential young authors discussing the timelessness of the Passover story, the thinking behind the New American Haggadah, the secret desire of Jewish writers to be rabbis, and more.

On March 28, 2012, The Jewish Theological Seminary hosted—and webcasted online—a discussion with Jonathan Safran Foer, author (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and Everything Is Illuminated) and editor of the best-selling New American Haggadah, which sold out its first print run in less than three weeks. Questions were taken from the in-person audience of JTS rabbinical students and from online viewers.
