At Mount Sinai
We chose Her
And what did She say?

Declare liberty for boy and girl
There shall be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land
A Sabbath
For Being

You shall return

Then you will dwell in the Land—
                                                in security
If you walk in My statutes
And observe My commandments
And enact
Justice
And Love of Kindness
And walk humbly
With
Your Being

Since Mount Sinai
It’s been simple
The law
Inexplicable
The obligation
Is
To love Being

For She said
Mine
Are the Children of Israel
Partners
They are My partners,
Whom I brought
Out of a land of narrowness
I

בחרנו בה
ומה דיברה?

שבת שבתון יהיה לארץ

לאהבה את הויה

בני-ישראל
שותפים
שותפי הם,
אשר הוצאתי אותם
מארץ מיצרים
אני
יהוה
אלוהיכם
