As vice chancellor for administration and finance, Clare Peeters leads the business functions of JTS and oversees the areas of human resources, finance, facilities management, information technology, and legal affairs. Prior to joining JTS in 2020, Clare held a variety of roles at the intersection of business strategy and execution with a focus on growing and transforming organizations. Previous professional experience includes corporate development and strategy positions in the book publishing industry at Random House and The Perseus Books Group and, more recently, corporate development and chief operating officer roles at Axel Johnson, Inc., a family-run direct investment company that owns and operates a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Outside of work, Clare has long been interested in mission-driven organizations and contributes her time to a number of nonprofits: she is a current board member for the Natural Areas Conservancy and executive vice president of the Harvard Business School Club of New York. Formerly, she served as a board member for Art Connects New York and a board member, co-vice president, and pro bono consultant for the Social Enterprise division of the Harvard Business School Club of New York.

She earned both a BA and an MBA from Harvard University.
