What an exciting year we have had at List College! List College Student Council (LCSC) started the year off strong with a Welcome Back Oneg at the end of the first week of classes this fall, where students had the opportunity to reconnect and meet the class of 2026. At the end of September, the community gathered at Camp Ramah in Nyack for our first List College retreat Shabbaton since the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a weekend filled with fun, friends new and old, great food, games, and uplifting prayer and song. The fall holidays were then in full swing, and students had the opportunity to celebrate together on and off campus.

Never missing a chance to gather as a community, List College came together for the first LCSC Shabbat Dinner of the year at the end of October, where we enjoyed a creative autumn-themed menu planned by a talented student committee. In November, we welcomed Kekst Graduate School Dean Lisa Rosen-Metsch for a Jewish Identity Forum (JIFFY), where she shared stories and photos from her own List College experience. November also marked spring registration, where List College students assisted one another with the registration process through the LCSC student academic advising program.

At the end of the fall semester, the List College community gathered for a delicious reading week dinner, followed by a Friday night Oneg featuring two professional comedians. The evening concluded with the official installation of Emma Grungold as the next president of LCSC, after the end of Jonah Pitkowsky’s term. It was a Friday night for the record books!

Following winter break, List College came back for our second semester! LCSC has a shift in leadership, welcoming Emma Grungold as president and Daniel Caplan as vice president of policy. We kicked off with amazing onegs, Welcome Back for Spring Oneg and Poneg (ping-pong themed). We had our first JIFFY of the semester with a fan favorite—Dr. Gampel. During our semester game of assassins, Daniel Caplan reigned supreme. We celebrated List College at the Dean Hotel for our yearly formal—it was the most amazing night! Our community closed out the semester with Final Dinner, recognizing the 34 incredible seniors of List college. We had a wonderful year, and we cannot wait to see where next year takes us!
