Spend a Semester at List College

Students currently enrolled at other accredited four-year colleges and universities may apply to our Semester at List College Program. The Semester at List College Program affords visiting students the unique opportunity to live and learn in List College’s dynamic Jewish community for one or two semesters. Highlights of the program include:

  • Enrollment in a rich selection of Jewish studies classes
  • Access to the best NYC has to offer, including internships and extracurricular activities
  • A chance to learn from our passionate, world-renowned faculty 
  • A chance to live in the List College residence hall and become part of our innovative, pluralistic Jewish community


Visiting students may receive credits at their own institutions for courses successfully completed at List College, subject to the approval of each student’s own dean. All visiting students are assigned an advisor to assist with class registration and to act as a general resource during their stay at List College. 

A complete application includes:

  • Semester at List College application, including personal statement, submitted online
  • The $65 application fee or fee waiver

The following items, submitted by mail or email to the List College Office of Admissions, lcadmissions@jtsa.edu:

  • A letter of approval from the dean or major advisor from the student’s degree-granting institution
  • College transcript
  • A letter of recommendation
