“The Earth is God’s and All That It Holds”: A Jewish Conversation About the Environment

Wednesday, May 1, 2023
7:00 p.m. ET

Online

With Dr. Eliezer Diamond, Professor David Kraemer, and JTS students Benjamin Kamine and Ilana Sandberg (moderator)

Join JTS professors Eliezer Diamond and David Kraemer in a conversation about the possibilities and challenges of applying Jewish frameworks to the environmental crisis. This talk is the first session in the Masorti Environmental Sustainability Initiative (MESI) of the Conservative Movement’s “Weeks of Learning and Doing” webinar series, taking place throughout Sefirat Ha’omer (between Pesah and Shavuot). The session’s content is inspired by the concepts of Head, Heart, and Hand: learning, spirituality, and action/advocacy. The series offers topics about the environment, Judaism and spirituality, food, greening your synagogue, and climate change, to educate, inspire, and motivate.

This series is free and open to all.
