The Center for Pastoral Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Drisha Institute are offering an educational program: Beit Midrash for Mental Health Professionals and Clergy.
This beit midrash is designed to help mental health professionals and clergy explore Jewish perspectives on issues they likely encounter in their day-to-day work. Focusing on a different topic of importance related to mental health and well-being in each session, participants will bring their own clinical and personal perspectives into conversation with a range of classical and modern Jewish texts. Topics will include grief, the wounded healer, and aspects of listening.
The beit midrash will include small-group or paired (havruta) text study as well as group discussion.
