Alumni Support Makes All the Difference

Posted on

Dear Friends,

JTS alumni honor their alma mater every day in countless ways—living lives of integrity, compassion, and respect; serving as anchors of the Jewish community—as both professional and lay leaders, teaching Torah in its broadest sense, bringing others into deeper engagement with Judaism, leading efforts to improve the world. Spanning the decades, our alumni may have physically left our campus, but we (I, too, am an alum) remain profoundly connected to one another and to our alma mater through the shared vision of Jewish learning and life that we experienced at JTS, and the recognition of how fundamentally it shaped the people we are today.

And we at JTS today—faculty and administration—burst with pride and pleasure as we learn about the paths that your lives have taken. Together, we care deeply about the Jewish future and the leaders that JTS is training to impact it. Together, we will ensure that this future is filled with learned, wise, innovative, caring leaders who will enrich the Jewish world for generations to come.

Below are stories of just some of the generous alumni who’ve made special gifts to the Crossroads Campaign, the JTS capital campaign that has raised significant funds for scholarships, programs, faculty, the JTS Library, and our endowment. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Shuly Rubin Schwartz (MA ’76, PhD ’87)
Chancellor
