Orlea Miller, MA, The William Davidson School

Posted on Jun 04, 2019

Growing up in the Jewish community of San Antonio, Texas, Orlea Miller loved teaching friends about Jewish traditions and holidays—a passion she decided to turn into a career while working at Gann Academy, a Jewish high school near Boston. She chose the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education of The Jewish Theological Seminary, where she was a Wexner Graduate Fellow / Davidson Scholar, for her graduate studies, not only because it offered the ability to combine pedagogical skills with Jewish educational content, but also for its pluralistic approach.

When asked about the highlights of her William Davidson School education, Orlea spoke about her practicum experience at Prizmah. By working in an organization that serves the North American Jewish day school network, Orlea was able to learn more about the needs of the field and its graduates, which she will bring with her as she embarks on the next phase of her career as the Community Engagement and Education Associate at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester.
