October 16, 2025

Last week, Chancellor Shuly Rubin Schwartz received the “Award for Achievement in Elevating Higher Education” at the Forum on Faith in New York City. The Forum on Faith brings together religious leaders, government officials, business executives, academics, and community leaders to discuss the benefits of faith in strengthening individuals, families, and communities. The Forum underscored how faith bridges divides and fosters mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation across communities.
During the program, these words were shared:
“Chancellor Schwartz has demonstrated through her leadership at JTS how higher education and religious ethics can be seamlessly integrated. For her, scholarship is never separated from moral vision. She has fostered partnerships with interfaith and higher education communities and deepened JTS’s engagement in issues vital to Jewish people, our nation, and humanity.”
