A Discussion with Editor Mel Scult

Dr. Mel Scult, professor emeritus at Brooklyn College and an expert on the life and work of Mordecai Kaplan, discusses Communings of the Spirit, the second volume of Kaplan’s journals, in which Kaplan reacts passionately to the momentous events of the 1930s, including the rise of fascism, and confronts the challenge of Jewish survival in the modern world.
