A Daylong Festival Celebrating the Re-imagined JTS Campus

Join us for campus tours, a discussion with our renowned architects, learning with JTS faculty, an up-close look at library treasures, as well as live music, creative ritual, and prayer to dedicate the new campus and mark this exciting new era for JTS and the Jewish world.
Come for all or part of the day. Admission is free but registration is required.

1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
JTS Expo: classes with JTS faculty, presentations from the Library Rare Book collection, tours of the new building, spiritual and musical offerings
Official dedication of the new building
Panel discussion with the architects of the new JTS Campus, Tod Williams, Billie Tsien, and Paul Schulhof of the celebrated firm Tod Williams Billie Tsien. Moderated by writer, editor, and architectural consultant Karen Stein.
7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
“Seeds of Song” album release concert with JTS students and acclaimed musician Dr. Galeet Dardashti, JTS visiting scholar, featuring original compositions by rabbinical and cantorial students, and live band
Inscribe a Letter in Our Mezuzah Scroll
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to work with a soferet (scribe) to write a letter in the mezuzah scroll that will be used to dedicate the new building.
Ramah Day Camp in Nyack will offer children’s programming for ages 3 through eighth grade from 12:30 to 6:00 p.m.
JTS faculty who will teach classes include: Dr. Yonatan Brafman, Dr. Shira D. Epstein, Dr. Benjamin Gampel, Dr. Amy Kalmanofsky, Rabbi Daniel Nevins, Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz, Dr. Benjamin Sommer, Dr. Jack Wertheimer, and Dr. Sarah Wolf. Sharon Mintz, curator of Jewish art for the JTS Library, will offer the Rare Book Room presentations.
