Great-grandson of the Ba’al Shem Tov, Rebbe Naḥman of Bratzlav was a charismatic leader and innovative thinker who shaped the lives and devotion of generations of disciples. His ideas remain influential within and beyond the Hasidic world. In this course we will study his teachings, including his renowned stories, which delve into core issues such as the quest for knowledge and faith, varieties of mystical experience, and the urgent spiritual power of joy and song.
