About the Course
In a world of rapid technological advances, dazzling scientific discoveries, and changing ethical sensibilities, how can halakhah, Jewish law, serve as our guide? Together we will study three recent Conservative teshuvot, rabbinic responsa, investigate the process of halakhic decision making, and discover the tremendous breadth and flexibility of Jewish law to address the most complex and pressing questions of our day. Topics will range from kashrut to prayer to capital punishment.
