Our Mission

List College, the undergraduate school of The Jewish Theological Seminary, prepares students for responsible Jewish citizenship and leadership.

List College and its dual-degree programs with Columbia University and Barnard College provide a rigorous education in the liberal arts and Jewish studies. Through residence hall and cocurricular activities that are informed by the perspective of Conservative Judaism, List College encourages students to synthesize their learning and living so that they are prepared to lead productive Jewish and secular lives in the larger world.

Successful graduates of this program, with its rich combination of academic and social experiences, are poised to take their place as global citizens and leaders in the Jewish community and beyond.
