The William Davidson School in Israel

The William Davidson School offers partnership programs in Israel with both the Conservative Yeshiva and the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. This gives students the opportunity to earn an MA while studying in Israel.

Joint MA with the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem

The William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education and the Conservative Yeshiva offer a joint MA in Jewish Education to train educators skilled in ritual, text, and pedagogy for a variety of communal and organizational settings.

Program Overview

  • 1-2 years of intensive study of classic texts as a full-time Conservative Yeshiva student.
  • Hebrew classes to achieve required intermediate level at The William Davidson School.
  • Education courses (online and in-house) at The William Davidson School.
  • Professional development opportunities at both institutions.
  • Yearlong professional practicum through The William Davidson School.
  • Tuition fellowships (offered by both programs) and living stipends from the Conservative Yeshiva are available.

Pardes Experiential Educators MA Program

The Pardes Experiential Educators Program is a two to three year MA in Jewish Education program designed for experiential educators who want to live and study in Israel. The length of the program will be determined by the student’s enrollment status. The program begins with a year of classical Jewish text study at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. Students can continue their studies on a part-time or full-time basis.

Program Overview

  • First Year: Study full-time at Pardes (September 1-May 31) while simultaneously taking part-time online courses offered by The William Davidson School.
  • Second Year: Work in a supervised practicum in the United States (10 hours/week) while taking Davidson School classes either in residence or online.
  • Hebrew study in Jerusalem and at JTS.

Admissions Requirements

  • Online application (to either the Conservative Yeshiva/Pardes and The William Davidson School).
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities.
  • Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores or Miller Analogies Test (MAT).
  • Hebrew placement exam.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Personal essay.
  • Interview.
