For three thousand years the Jewish people has been engaged in a dialogue with God. This conversation has yielded an ornate tapestry of ideals and practices, texts, and customs. At JTS we immerse ourselves in this profound culture not only from love of tradition, but also from the urgent desire to discover the path to holiness in our day. We train leaders who are rooted in the past, conversant in the current, and visionary for the Jewish future. At JTS, the Torah truly is a tree of life.—Rabbi Daniel Nevins, Pearl Resnick Dean, The Rabbinical School
