AN ONLINE MINI-COURSE WITH JTS

Can the Jewish tradition offer guidance for dealing with the frontiers of modern medicine? This course will explore the ways in which classical Jewish texts inform Jewish attitudes toward issues at the beginning and end of life, such as pre-implantation genetic testing, abortion, and how we define death. We will discuss the role of religion and religiously informed principles in a pluralistic and largely secular society.
