Thursday, June 6, 2019, 7:30 p.m.
Kehillath Israel, 384 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA
A fascinating conversation about the restaurants and delis that shaped Jewish Brookline with The Jews of Boston co-author Dr. Jonathan Sarna and JTS Provost Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz, granddaughter of the family behind the famed Rubin’s Deli. Rubin’s, Jack and Marion’s, Pick-a-Chick, and now, Zaftigs, have all played a role in shaping the town’s character and have drawn all types of people to Brookline to experience Jewish cooking.
The evening will begin with some kosher nosh!
Tickets: Suggested donation of $20.
