A Virtual Discussion for Davidson Alumni

Tuesday, October 9, 12:00-1:30 p.m. ET

“Gender equity is a reason why I don’t always see a future for myself in the Jewish communal profession long term.”

Ever wondered how your own career experience compares with other alumni of The William Davidson School? In March 2018, nearly 500 Davidson and JTS alumni working in the field of Jewish education responded to a survey examining questions about career advancement, compensation, and leadership opportunities. Join us to discuss the findings of our research, share your own experiences, and explore strategies for increasing equity in the field at large and within your own institution.

During this webinar, led by Dr. Andrea Jacobs, we will explore such questions as:

  • What is the state of gender equity in the field of Jewish education?
  • How does gender impact salary, leadership opportunities and job satisfaction?
  • What are strategies, policies and alternative models of leadership that promote equity and level the playing field for people of all genders?
