Rabbi Naomi Levy (JTS ’89) takes us on a journey into the world of our souls, inspired by correspondence between Albert Einstein and a grieving rabbi. We often get so distracted by life’s surface demands and pressures that we rarely take the time to see what’s planted deep inside us. By listening to our souls we can uncover our true goodness, our calling, our yearnings, our gifts, yes, and even our greatness. Once we begin listening to our own souls we begin seeing the souls of others, seeing beyond our differences, to the truth that unites us and unites all things.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Naomi Levy is the author of the national bestseller To Begin Again, as well as Talking to God and Hope Will Find You. Her latest book is Einstein and the Rabbi: Searching for the Soul. She is the founder and leader of Nashuva, a groundbreaking Jewish spiritual outreach movement based in Los Angeles. Levy was named one of the top-fifty rabbis in America by Newsweek and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Today Show, and NPR. She was in the first class of women to enter The Jewish Theological Seminary’s Rabbinical School and the first woman in the Conservative Movement to head a congregation on the West Coast.
