At the Gershon Kekst Graduate School you’ll choose from among MA and PhD programs, a dual degree with Columbia’s School of Social Work, a Doctor of Hebrew Literature degree, and a certificate in Pastoral Care and Counseling. With full-time, part-time, and non-degree options, there’s a JTS path to fit your life.

Applicants to the Kekst Graduate School, regardless of whether they seek a degree or not, must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and present evidence of the ability to pursue studies at the graduate level.

The Kekst Graduate School reviews applications in a holistic manner. Before submitting an application, each prospective student is required to have a preliminary discussion with our director of admissions, followed by a discussion with one of our deans.
