Pedagogic Skills

All first-year Davidson School students take a class called Pedagogic Skills. As a requirement of this course, students must have a part-time position in a religious school, day school, or other Jewish educational instititution. Below are some resources to assist students with the job-hunting process:

• List of New York Jewish organizations (Students have successfully worked at many of these organizations in previous years.)
• Description of Rebecca and Israel Ivry Prozdor High School, a supplementary Jewish school run under the auspices of The Davidson School

If you are participating in Kesher Hadash, you will only be able to work for the first semester. Dean Barry Holtz has written a letter explaining the Kesher Hadash program to help you communicate your scheduling needs with prospective employers.
