It's eBay Time for Torah Fund

Support Torah Fund on eBay! It’s fun to sell just about anything on eBay. It can be a mitzvah, too. Because now it’s easy to make a portion of your sale into a direct donation to Torah Fund!

No Math Required

There’s no story problem here. You just choose what percentage of the final sale price you want Torah Fund to receive. Donate from 10 to 100 percent of the final sale. Our partners at eBay Giving Works and Mission Fish will do all the calculations. You’ll get a receipt for tax purposes, and Torah Fund will get all the benefits of your generosity. And you won’t even have to open your checkbook!

Buyers Like It, Too

According to eBay Giving Works, sellers who sign up for direct donations tend to see a higher final sale price because “buyers typically pay more for items that benefit a nonprofit.” When you designate at least 10 percent of your sale price to Torah Fund, your items will get special treatment that isn’t available to for-profit-only sellers. This includes a distinctive ribbon icon, as well as being listed in special search functionality for buyers who want to support good causes.

It’s Easy to Do!

You know that eBay is one of the most trusted brands in the world and one of the largest businesses on the Internet. Working with eBay Giving Works and their selected partner, MissionFish, is safe, secure, and easy to begin doing. Follow the steps outlined below. If you need further information, eBay and MissionFish have FAQ sections and extensive, professional help and support. Of course, you can always contact Torah Fund if you have questions for us—we’re happy to hear from you!

How It Works

Here’s the outline:

  1. Register as a seller with eBay Giving Works Through MissionFish.
  2. Designate Torah Fund and decide how much, from 10 to 100 percent, you want to share from each sale.
  3. Once the item is listed, bidding begins on eBay. (Nonprofits reserve the right to cancel items listed on their behalf.)
  4. If the item sells, the seller gets paid by the buyer and ships the item—same as always. The buyer pays for the shipping.
  5. MissionFish collects the donation from the seller, pays the nonprofit, and provides a tax receipt.
  6. Be happy. You’ve helped Torah Fund’s mission to support the Conservative Movement! Mazal tov!
