The 2009 JTS MIDWEST ANNUAL AWARDS EVENT took place on Thursday evening, June 18, at the Standard Club. We honored Michael H. Zaransky, Dr. Rhoda S. Pomerantz, and Hazzan Larry B. Goller and were pleased to hear from special guest, Chancellor Arnold M. Eisen. Thank you to all of our honorees and chairs Karen Kesner and Keith J. Shapiro for helping to create a successful evening.
A special thank-you also goes to Rabbi Michael Schwab, Rabbi Michael Siegel, and Rabbi Carl Wolkin for introducing our honorees and our terrific alumni—Michael Shapiro, Uri Pachter, and Adam Braun—who spoke about their JTS educational experiences.
