The community is invited to “Community Service and the Arts,” an exhibit sponsored by the Va'ad Gemilut Hasadim: Susan and Jack Rudin Center for Community Outreach of The Jewish Theological Seminary.
“Community” will feature works of art and music by JTS students, staff, faculty, and members of Broadway Community, Inc.'s School of Healing Arts and Dorot's Siorta Center for Intergenerational Arts.
The exhibit will open on Tuesday, February 5 with a viewing and a dessert reception from 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a panel discussion at 8:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through Thursday, February 21. Reservations are requested by Friday, February 1, and may be made by emailing vaad@jtsa.edu.
Broadway Community, Inc. (BCI) aims to provide emergency food, clothing and shelter to those in need, as well as long-term support aimed at healing the body, mind and spirit. Dorot strives to enhance the lives of Jewish and other elderly in the Greater New York City Metropolitan area.
