Much has been written about the future of the Conservative Movement over the past several months.
On Thursday, January 21, 2010, members of the community will have the opportunity to meet and hear Rabbi Marc Wolf, vice chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), discuss “Strategic Direction—JTS and American Judaism” at the home of Arlene and Robert Kagan. Minyan will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by the program and a dessert reception.
In addition to his role as vice chancellor, Rabbi Wolf also serves as chief development officer of JTS. Devoting all of his considerable energy, expertise, and passion to setting and implementing the overall strategic direction of JTS's fund-raising efforts, he also supervises the dissemination of JTS resources to the larger community through public lectures, virtual educational programs, podcasts, and the weekly Torah From JTS that is read around the world.
The minimum gift to attend the evening is $400 per person. Reservations are required by Thursday, January 14, 2010. Directions to the Kagan’s home will be provided with the reservation.
