The community is invited to celebrate Purim at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), 3080 Broadway (at 122nd Street), New York City. The full megillah will be read and the fate of the Jewish people will be revealed in "‘POOR'-im 2009: The Stimulus Program."
The celebration reflects JTS's commitment to the synagogue as a space that engages its students and provides opportunities for creativity and leadership. The megillah will also be read in its entirety at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in the same location.
Come laugh and cry as we see that the more times change, the more they stay the same. Admission is free; photo ID required. For further information, contact Rabbi Lisa Gelber at (212) 678-8814.
