A year after The Jewish Theological Seminary’s decision to accept openly gay rabbinical and cantorial school students, JTS, together with Columbia University and Barnard College, served as a co-host of the National Union of Jewish LGBTQQI Students Conference that took place on February 8-10.

NUJLS is the only North American organization dedicated to LGBTQQI Jewish students. “NUJLS 2008: A Time of Change” seeks to put forth a relevant, vibrant, and contemporary gathering during which participants from around the world will embrace and explore, both individually and communally, recent changes in the American Jewish community and their impact on participants’ political, personal, and religious lives.
