Rabbi Kahn-Troster received a bachelor’s degree from the Albert A. List College of Jewish Studies in 2001, a master’s degree from The Graduate School in 2006, and her ordination from The Rabbinical School in 2008. She is the lead organizer for Rabbis for Human Rights−North America’s campaigns against slavery and human trafficking and U.S.-sponsored torture, and serves on the board of the Jewish environmental group Hazon. Rabbi Kahn-Troster says of being on the Jewish Week’s list, “The list has always celebrated an extremely diverse range of innovative young Jewish leadership, so it was a tremendous honor for me to be included.”
Mr. Schorr is currently a student at List College, and expects to receive his bachelor of arts degree in 2012. He is a student activist and was recently elected president of LionPac, a pro-Israel public affairs student group at Columbia University. Mr. Schorr’s group works to educate the campus community about the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship. He majors in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at Columbia and Modern Jewish Studies in Hebrew at JTS. According to Mr. Schorr, “It is a tremendous distinction to be included in this year’s list.
