Members of The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary are people who treasure Jewish books and the Jewish cultural heritage, believing that knowledge is an invaluable tool for building a better world. Funds raised by the membership campaign help support the purchase of rare books, manuscripts, and electronic resources, as well as funding exhibits and library publications.
The Library publishes News From The Library, which is issued twice a year and sent to all members. Membership also supports the publication of materials from The Library's collections, such as exhibition catalogs, posters, holiday greeting cards and brochures. Membership is open to anyone who wishes to participate in preserving Jewish heritage for future generations. Become a member!
You can become a member online, or print out the form and pay by mail with a check or credit card. Membership is renewable annually and is tax deductible to the extent allowed by federal tax law. Your receipt will detail the deductible portion.

When you become a member for $360 you get: borrowing privileges, periodic updates from our Librarian, information about and invitations to Library exhibits, invitations to attend other events sponsored by The Library, email alerts to upcoming JTS events, and two issues of News From The Library per year.
