Special Programming for 2009-2010

Fall Weekend Retreat

November 13–15, 2009, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This intensive and engaging weekend will afford the opportunity to learn together and forge new friendships. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Knesset (Student Council)

Do you want to have an impact on your learning and experiences at Ivry Prozdor? Do you have great ideas for programming and courses? If so, join the Knesset this year!

Prozdor Musicians

Do you play an instrument? Are you a singer? If so, we're looking for you to jump-start the Prozdor music group. We'll jam together on Sundays, explore Jewish music, and put together a repertoire to perform on the road.

Motzei Shabbaton Social: February 6, 2010

This winter, we'll come together on a Saturday night, following Shabbat, to celebrate in a different way at our Motzei Shabbaton Social. We'll party and learn all in one fun-filled evening.

Special Assembly Programs

Special assembly programs will feature monthly speakers to stimulate your thoughts, opinions, and beliefs. We'll also celebrate holidays together as a community. This year, Purim falls on a Sunday—volunteer to read the megillah!

J-Serve: April 25, 2010

On this annual day of service for Jewish youth throughout the world, we'll serve together as a school. The Knesset, with faculty and administration, will plan through the fall and spring and explore different ways of giving back to our greater community.

Panim el Panim: February 14–17, 2010

This seminar brings together diverse groups of tenth- to twelfth-grade students from around the country to explore public policy and social activism through a Jewish lens. Participants learn about public policy and political activism by interacting with experts on a wide range of cutting-edge issues. This year our tenth-grade class is making a class trip of it!
