Housing Selection 2009–2010

Below you will find the housing application and housing rates for the 2009–2010 academic year. There are two types of applications, graduate and undergraduate. If you are interested in housing for the upcoming school year, you must complete the appropriate application in its entirety by February 12.

To be eligible to participate in the housing selection process, you must be a full-time, matriculated JTS student or intend to complete a JTS degree program. Graduate students who are completing their JTS education and who are not returning for full-time graduate school may not reapply for JTS housing. However, graduate students who have completed one program and will be returning to JTS under a different program will be permitted to live in JTS housing but will be considered new students with no seniority.

All applicants with individual needs that require special housing provisions must notify the Office of Residence Life in writing by the application date and schedule a meeting with the director.

You must be at least twenty-one years old to purchase or consume alcohol in New York State. Consumption of alcohol is forbidden in MSRH, and forbidden to anyone under twenty-one in Goldsmith and Brush halls. Only sabbath wine may be consumed in common areas in Goldsmith and Brush halls. JTS residence halls are 100-percent nonsmoking environments. Smoking any legal or illegal substance is prohibited everywhere in all JTS residence halls at all times.

Information concerning Shabbat and kashrut observance in the residence halls is available upon request.

If you have any questions concerning the application or the housing selection process, please see a representative of the Residence Life staff.
