What Is Financial Aid?

Financial aid is funding that JTS makes available to help students pay for their education. Each family represents a different set of financial circumstances that impact upon that family's ability to pay for college. Financial aid from JTS, private, state, and federal sources provide the help needed to meet the cost of higher education. There are two forms of financial aid:

Need-based financial aid is determined by your family's demonstrated financial need. JTS need-based aid is awarded through the JTS Financial Aid Office.

Merit-based financial aid is determined by your academic achievement. JTS merit-based scholarships and fellowships are awarded by each school's dean's office in conjunction with its fellowship committee.
