Sam Schindler (GS '07, DS '07)I'm currently in my third year of working at New Community Jewish High School in the Los Angeles area. I've been teaching a World History sequence with integrated Jewish History to ninth and tenth graders, and this year I've added an eleventh-grade elective course on Comparative Religion.
Studying in The Davidson School sparked a dormant interest in Jewish History and, as I quickly realized, the study of history in general. In the end, I graduated from both The Davidson School (MA in Jewish Education) and The Graduate School (MA in Jewish History).
I owe JTS a huge debt of gratitude for setting me on my current path, which provides for continuing opportunities to learn as I teach a subject that I love.
