Meirav Siegel-Richman (LC '09) submitted a photo that was selected for publication in the New York Times' College Photo Essay Contest.

Joshua Schwartz (LC '08) received a Wexner Graduate Fellowship to pursue a PhD in Jewish Studies at New York University in fall 2009, focusing on Jewish Mysticism (Kabbalah, Hasidut) and philosophy of religion.

Michal Raucher (LC '05) was awarded a Fulbright grant to conduct dissertation research in Israel.

Meir Sherer (LC '89) was named the first director of congregational learning at Congregation Beth Israel, Worcester, Massachusetts.

Tom Kagedan (SC '81) announced the birth of his first grandson on August 18, 2009.

Rachel Saks (DS '09) is a new assistant first-grade Judaics teacher at the Gross Schechter Day School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sarah Weiss-Poland (LC '99, DS '03) had two ceremonies/prayers published on www.ritualwell.org: Blessing to Heal Infertility and Cremation and Burial Service.

Alicia Jo Rabins (GS '07) is releasing her new album, Girls In Trouble, on October 27. The album is the culmination of her thesis work while at JTS. Read an album review of Girls In Trouble.

Judd Kruger Levingston (GS '02, DS '02, RS '93) published his first book, Sowing the Seeds of Character: The Moral Education of Adolescents in Public and Private Schools with Praeger Publishers.

Erez Sherman (LC '04, RS '09) was named assistant rabbi at Shomrei Torah Synagogue in West Hills, California.

Joshua Karlip (GS '99, RS '99) received the Harry Starr Fellowship in Judaica at the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University.

Seth Haaz (GS '06, RS '09) was named rabbi of Congregation Adath Israel in Middletown, Connecticut.

Kate Palley (RS '09) was named the first director of Jewish life at Susquehanna University.

Fred D. Grossman (RS '05) has been named assistant rabbi at Temple Menorah in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Rabbi Sharon Brous (RS '01) was nominated by Jewish Women International (JWI) as one of this year's top ten "Women to Watch."

Jeremy Stein (CS '09) is the new hazzan at Congregation Beth Israel in Glendale, Wisconsin.
