JTS Students by the Numbers

The Jewish Theological Seminary educates students from around the world who come to learn in a dynamic and diverse environment.

	For the fall 2010 semester, a total of 506 students are enrolled at JTS with 82 percent enrolled full-time and 18 percent part-time. Our student body is 52 percent female, 48 percent male. JTS has 140 faculty members and a student/faculty ratio of 5:1. Roughly 10 percent of our students are simultaneously earning different degrees from two of JTS's five schools.
	JTS currently enrolls students from twelve countries: Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
	Domestically, our student body comes from thirty states and the District of Columbia, with 48 percent coming from the New York / New Jersey area. The five states with the most students are (from first to last) New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
