Summer Learners Program

The Jewish Theological Seminary offers exceptional noncredit Summer learning opportunities to students of all ages. Enroll in one of our intellectually stimulating evening courses to explore Bible and Jewish thought with our renowned faculty—some of the world's finest scholars and experts in Judaica. These are serious courses for serious learning—come for enrichment or prepare to return to college.

In Session II and Session III of our Summer Sessions, students can enroll in one or both of these non-credit classes at a special rate of $525 per class.

Session II—God, Torah, and Israel in Modern Jewish Thought, taught by Dr. Neil Gillman
Session III—Tragedy and Glory of a Biblical Hero: The Saga of Samson in Judges 13–16 , taught by Dr. Felipe Yafe
  • Summer Learners will NOT pay an application, registration, or student activities fee.
  • Summer Learners are not required to take a Hebrew placement exam.
  • Summer Learners are not eligible for Financial Aid or Housing.
  • Summer Learners will not receive a transcript.

Please note:
Registration is closed after the second class.

Refund Schedule
If you drop the course during the first three days of the session, all but $50 is refunded.
From the fourth day of the session onwards, there can be no refunds.

To register, print and complete the Summer Learners' Application and submit it, along with the payment of $525 per class.
