Joshua Rabin

Joshua Rabin is beginning his first year at Prozdor as instructor and director of Student Life. A Baltimore native, Josh is entering his fourth year at The Rabbinical School and is also pursuing a master’s degree at The Davidson School. Josh spent last year living in Jerusalem, studying at the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies. Josh was a student at the University of Maryland where he was the president of the Conservative minyan, director of the Terrapin Leadership, and a regular at basketball games (Go Terps!); he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy and Jewish Studies. This fall, Josh will be serving as president of The Rabbinical School Students Organization and will be a junior faculty member at the Abraham Joshua Heschel High School. Josh has also spent many years working with Jewish youth from around the world: as a madrikh at Camp Ramah in New England, community educator for the Genesis Program at Brandeis University, and as a counselor and group leader for five summers with USY on Wheels, during which time he traveled more than 55,000 miles across North America. Most important, Josh loves ultimate Frisbee, The Simpsons, playing his new guitar, and spending time with his wife, Yael Hammerman.
