NOTE: You must have Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to download reserve readings for your class. If you do not have this software, go to Adobe and click on the button labeled Get Adobe Reader.

2. Type in your JTS username: the part of your email address preceding the @ symbol. For example, jodoe@jtsa.edu would become jodoe. Then type in your password. Your password is your first name and the last four digits of your student or faculty ID. If your name is John Doe, and your student ID is 12345678, your password is john5678. (Please note: Blackboard passwords are case-sensitive. JOHN5678 is not the same as john5678.) Also, your student ID is not your Social Security number. Your ID can be found on your student bill, class schedule, or pay stub.
3. If you forget your username and/or password, click on the Forgot Password? link. An email will be sent to your JTS email account that will enable you to change your password.
You will be greeted with a welcome page. This page will identify you by your first name and list the course(s) in which you are enrolled. Only classes participating in the hybrid option will be listed. You may not see all of the courses you are registered for, as participation in Blackboard is at the discretion of the department or professor.

2. Click on the title of a course to enter it.

2. A list of readings will appear. Click on the document(s) you need. A new window will open and display your reading.
***If you have trouble opening the reading, try to download it by right-clicking and selecting "save target as" or "save as."
REMEMBER: All documents are PDF files. The computer on which you wish to view them must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If you do not have this software, you will not be able to read them. If you do not have a computer or do not want to download Acrobat Reader, please use the resources available to you in the student lab located on the seventh floor of the Kripke Tower.
If Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed, the computer will ask you to open or save the file. If you choose open, your computer will then ask what program to open it with. Your other option is to save the document to a disk, take it to the computer lab, and open it there.
