New York State Law on the Maintenance of Public Order

The State of New York requires JTS to notify all students concerning an amendment to the Education Law which relates to the maintenance of public order on our campus and in its residence halls. The law mandates that JTS shall prohibit, among other things, any action or situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers mental or physical health or involves the forced consumption of liquor or drugs for any purpose of initiation into or affiliation with any organization. The penalty for violation of this law may be dismissal from JTS or other sanctions.
