Cable Modem Work Order

If your modem is not working properly, please follow these steps before submitting a request.

RCA Modems
When the first four lights are steady and the second and fourth lights are blinking, the modem is working properly. If only the second and/or third light is on, power up the modem and wait until the lights indicate that it is working properly. If the modem is not getting a connection at all, reboot by unplugging the modem and plugging it back in after a few minutes.

If this does not resolve the problem, you may request a replacement modem by contacting the Office of Residence Life at (212) 678-8035 or by submitting the form below.
 

All Other Modems
When the power and cable lights are steady and the PC light is blinking, the modem is working properly. If the cable light is blinking, reboot by unplugging the modem and plugging it back in after a few minutes.
